Spotify with Squid proxy

I'm the proxy admin at my workplace, and I'm trying to get Spotify to work with it. Here's the problem:

After installing spotify, if I specify HTTPS proxy and enter the server, port and authentication info, it

works great! All the features work, and I can see the requests in the proxy logs. The problem comes

after I exit the app and reload. It will still play music, but the apps and Browse functions don't work.

It's very strange.

It has been a long reported issue that apps don't work properly behind proxies, not 100% sure why as you say, it does work the first time.

There are several work arounds listed on this topic which might be worth a try!
