When I tried to find out how I could fix this, I saw a post on this site telling me to try to delete Local-Files under %appdata% > roaming > Spotify > Users > Your accout name > delete Local-Files, but it seems as though as I don't have the Spotify folder under Roaming in my pc. I am not sure but I also think some spotify files under %appdata% > Local are missing too.

Hello @Smjunk,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

I'd recommend performing clean reinstall of your Spotify app. It's different than regular reinstallation.
Just find your device in this article and follow the steps provided there.

Make sure to delete all files with Spotify in the title that you're able to find with the search feature on your desktop. After clean reinstall all the necessary folders will be downloaded.

You should be able to play music on your desktop with no issues after that.

I hope it helps!
