This did nothing (keep in mind I wasn't changing any OS settings when Spotify stopped working).

I uninstalled it this afternoon.

Appdata no longer had any folders to delete, neither in local nor in roaming.

Checked the registry. I saw 2 mentions, which were related to the firewall setting as far as I could tell.. Checked the firewall, deleted the whitelisting there.

Powered off computer, unplugged router, re-downloaded and re-installed Spotify, re-enabled the firewall whitelisting.. Nothing, behaves still the same.

I have no internet or sound problems of any kind, it's just spotify (and the desktop app at that, webapp works fine) suddenly not working. In fact I recently re-installed Windows, so my computer's pretty clean in that regard.

Plan

Free

Country

Netherlands

Device

PC

Operating System

Windows 7

My Question or Issue

Spotify desktop all of a sudden stopped working. In the middle of a playlist. Ad started, I paused it to check something else, went back, resumed, and nothing. Nothing plays anymore. When I start a playlist, it just skips everything in the list, when I start an individual song, it gives me the notice in the subject. This was several days ago. I've tried most, if not all things that came up when googling.

Logged out and in

I un- and reinstalled

Deleted the folders in the app data

I checked the webapp, and that one works fine.

Does anyone have the solution?
