Spotify doesnt start minmized

My Question or Issue

I set Spotify to start up minimized from the advanced settings In the settings tab within the windows app. The function doesn’t seem to work in where Spotify starts up but is not minimized.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about this.

Just to confirm, have you tried a clean reinstall instead of the regular one? There's a difference between the two in how the app data are being managed.

We recommend this step as it'll remove the old drivers first and then install the new ones. This tends to solve issues with the app's performance. Give your PC a quick restart as well before you open the newly installed desktop app.

If that didn't work right click the Spotify icon on your desktop and then click on properties, in the Shortcut tab you will see Run: and it will say Normal window click on it and then click Minimized and that should do the trick!
