My Question or Issue

I have had an ongoing issue for many months now, perhaps as long as a year where frequently Spotify Connect won't fully sync it's current state to the application on my Windows PC while music is playing on my Amazon Alexa. Whether I start playing the music on my PC or not, frequently I have a problem where the current song and the position of the playhead will not update. The controls to skip, play/pause, even scrub position still work on my Windows PC, but the current song and position will still stay stuck even after the input from the PC.
