There was a &lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/Ongoing-Issues/Desktop-Recently-Played-section-not-updating-anymore/idi-p/4870265" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;thread&lt;/A&gt; opened for this issue last year, but it seemed to have been closed by moderators without any real solution or update offered. This is a function that is not properly working for a service that I am paying a premium fee for. If you (Spotify) are going to post that "the right folks are looking into this," perhaps there should at least be some regular updates to follow up with the progress. It is difficult to believe that this (an error right in users' faces at the front home page of the app) has not been addressed for over half a year, if it has not been occurring for longer before someone finally decided to post a thread on it. I understand that this issue does not directly interfere with playing music via Spotify and I also understand that you (Spotify) are "not able to provide an exact timeline for a fix," but some transparency on progress would help the users to believe that you (Spotify) are responsibly working toward resolving an error for paying users. I really hope this topic won't be closed with another "we are looking into it, so just make sure to keep your Spotify app up to date!"&lt;/P&gt;</description>
