Plan

Premium

Country

United States

Device

Desktop PC

Operating System

Windows 10

My Question or Issue

The problem with spotify connect connecting to random devices has been around for years and spotify still refuses to fix this problem. How hard is it to have a feature that allows you to disable spotify connect? I literally cannot use spotify when my neighbor is trying to use their bluetooth speakers otherwise my spotify will hijack their speakers. I've tried pretty much every solution given out there only to be told sorry the only actual solution out here is to go into offline mode. Thanks spotify for not fixing the literal biggest problem with your app.

Hi @kooljess702,

Welcome to the Community!

Your Spotify account should only connect to speakers to which you're not paired to and to smart devices into which you're not logged in to.

In this case we recommend Logging out everywhere to make sure you're only logged in your own devices. It's also good to check which device you're playing on from the Connect menu before starting playback.

Hope this info is helpful. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have more questions.
