My Question or Issue

I've had this 2 times now. I'm listening to music (of course), ads start playing like normal, I wait out 2 ads and then the 3rd ad (always an ad from spotify themselves) doesn't play. The play/pause button shows a pause signal, meaning it should be playing. Pressing the button does nothing, and the skip buttons are blocked. I literally have to restart my spotify because I can't listen to music otherwise, which means I literally listened to a minute of ads for no reason.

Start off by running a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your PC. This will get you the latest app version with all necessary updates.

It's also a good idea to check if your hosts file contains entries that need to be removed. Follow these steps on how you can do that.
