Where do Playlists locate ?

Due to continuous slowness in starting and searching (minutes and minutes) I perhaps should remove and reinstall the app. But what will happen to my Playlists, are they physically stored on my laptop (where) or somewhere in Spotify's servers ? Do I need to make some backups before removing the app ?

Hey @markku18

Your playlist are all stored on Spotify's servers - you can log into Spotify on any device and all your playlists will be there for you. 🙂

You don't need to back up anything - in fact it's a great idea to start from a clean page, which reinstall will do.

Note: if you have any playlists downloaded, you will need to redownload them after reinstall.

Okay, after reinstalling the app it seems working normally i.e. much faster again. Thanks for encouraging me to go through the process.
