My Question or Issue

While on Discord with a friend who is on my Friend Activity list, we discovered that the Friend Activity List was 1 song behind, as he was listening to his current song, the previous song was shown as being currently listened to.Spotify Showing Previous SongDiscord Showing Current Song

Thanks for posting in the Spotify Community!

It is currently the expected behavior of the Spotify app for there to be a one-song delay with the tracks that show up on Friend Activity. Feel free to also check this similar thread.

However, there is currently a Live Idea in the Ideas Exchange of the Spotify Community for having Friend Activity show the songs that Spotify users are currently listening to. If this is something you’re interested in, I recommend adding your +VOTE to this Idea; the more votes an idea gets, the likelier it is that Spotify will implement it, and you can read more about how feedback on ideas reaches Spotify here.
