My Question or Issue

Spotify windows 10 desktop app does not get muted when I play a youtube video on chrome. How can I activate this feature?

Hi @sakospot,

Welcome to the Community!

Currently, there is no option on the desktop app to get muted automatically when you start watching/listening to something else. In this case, you should pause the music manually.

However, if you think that other users might like this option as well, it's well worth adding it to our ideas board here. Others can then vote on it or add to the conversation to show their support.

If anyone else looks for a solution on windows10:

mute.fm

Still works on windows10 although not mentioned on the site.

And it works near perfect!
