Sometimes it spikes even higher and causes stuttering for both video and audio. The CPU usage for a Youtube video on Chrome is around 1%.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;If you experience what &lt;a href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/1814658"&gt;@tobiasmohl&lt;/a&gt; described it's a good idea to perform a &lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Answers/How-can-I-perform-a-clean-reinstall-of-the-app/ta-p/4746485" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;clean reinstall&lt;/A&gt; of the Spotify desktop app. This will let you start afresh with the latest app version.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In case this persists after the clean reinstall,&amp;nbsp;check your hosts file for entries that need to be deleted. Follow the steps described &lt;A href="https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-Answers/Can-t-access-the-Web-Player/ta-p/4631438" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;here&lt;/A&gt; on how you can do that. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
