Some album art from local files won't load properly and will display the album art of the previous song. I tried EVERYTHING and I can't seem to fix it.

Here is a list of what I tried :

-Changing the directory

-Reinstalling Spotify

-Making sure there are no special characters such as , ' in path name

- deleting and reuploading album art (in 2 different apps)

- reducing album art size to 300x300

-completely erase tags and start from scratch

-Reconverting files from mp3 to mp3 and doing the previous steps

It will not affect all local files only a certain amount, and the problem doesn't show up instantly, seems to be after linking pc with my phone. And once they start not loading properly it's game over, no way to go back

I'm just about to lose it so please help, this is driving me insane, doing all that work for no result, for something so simple

Hi there @ixchestr,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

The cover art can be edited in the file metadata, but if Spotify is not able to load that it will most likely replicate the cover art of other songs added at the same time (or from the same album).

Here are some threads where users discuss ways around this:

All Local Files have the same album art

Local files covers are the same for all songs of an album

Adding Cover Art to Local Files

Hope you find something that helps. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
