Most Daniel Johnston songs removed: shifting to new label, glitch, or gone for now?

Some songs are randomly greyed out and the ones that aren't greyed out get skipped in a glitchy way. If Spotify removed this guy 4 days after I started listening to him I'm going to be upset. It only appears to be Daniel Johnston as of now.

Edit: songs in the key of z has Walking The Cow so that song works, but I guess Spotify removed Daniel Johnston's songs... 4 days after I started listening. As far as I'm concerned, removing Daniel Johnston might be a glitch, because a Thousand Foot Krutch album I listened to got removed then reinstated a week or so later because of a change in record label and Undertale music was removed but it worked fine again a few days later. "Bs (A. Whiteman) - You've Been Fisted (Hey Soul Sister)" got removed right around the same time as Daniel Johnston and I started listening to that right around the same time as Daniel Johnston, strangely enough. But I don't care about that song much, bring back Daniel Johnston ASAP! And don't remove the songs that still remain! But hey, at least I got to see a rare phenomena where the #1 song in my repeat playlist was greyed out.

Same I’m so devastated they removed all these songs, he is my favorite . I had a lot of songs and playlists saved that consisted mostly of his music. Will Spotify bring it back and if they do will they go back to their playlists I’ve made? I’m really really sad about this Spotify please put it back :,(

Ahhh I just noticed this, too and am so sad. If you are craving some of his removed songs, Built to Spill has a whole album of covers and quite a few other great bands have some wonderful covers including Bright Eyes (**bleep** Town), Wilco (True Love Will Find You...), Beach House (Some Things Last...), Yo La Tengo (Speeding Motorcycle), M.Ward (Story of an Artist&To Go Home), etc to hold you over but definitely not the same :’((

I’m glad someone else is mentioning this; I’ve been listening to true love will find you in the end everyday lately, and was so upset to see it gone. At first I thought it was just a glitch but now I guess not. Hopefully all the songs will be back soon.

this is outrageous, to see an artist's art blocked possibly banned from the public is a horrible and scary sight to see, Spotify needs to give us answers, it could be the record company's fault too.

We want all the world’s music and podcasts on Spotify, but availability can vary over time and between countries, depending on agreements and the permissions from rights holders.

We add new content to Spotify every day, so if you can’t find something you’re looking for right now, it may appear (or reappear) soon.

@Splelly, if the songs you had on your playlists are re added to Spotify, they should appear on your playlists again.

Update: I noticed that on Feb 23, Daniel Johnston's official instagram posted a message that said this:

"It is apparently a hiccup resulting from changes in distribution arrangements initiated years ago that are just now taking effect. The good news: all of Daniel's music will be available again in a few days. We are very sorry for the interruption and appreciate your patience in the meantime."

So, hopefully we won't have to wait much longer for his music to return!
