Hi Alex,

I'm having the same issue here streaming from my android phone (pixel 5) onto my Vizio 2020 smartcast 50 inch TV with smartcast firmware no 39.6.

After hours of trouble shooting and resetting and rebooting, the problem still persists and after much research it seems like it happened before in late 2017 / early 2018 and was eventually fixed by a firmware update from Vizio. I'd appreciate it if you could look into this as it's incredibly frustrating and renders Spotify connect and the experience fully useless.

Same problem, pretty much the same problem, audio playback stops after the first song is streamed, although cover art changes to the next song and track progress bar keeps going. Pausing and playing on phone does not do anything and only skipping to next song brings audio back.

If I change the track manually it works fine.

Hi there @cheez125,

Welcome to the Community!

We'd recommend logging out everywhere and running a clean reinstall of the Spotify app on your PC and also reinstalling the app on the TV. This will assure that your account is synced up with the servers.

If that changes nothing, try running a factory reset on the TV, after that check if there are any firmware updates.

Also, can you let us know if this happens if you stream music to the TV from another device like a phone or the web player.

We'll be on the lookout for your reply 🙂

Hi there @keykey3137,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

This is most likely related to the firmware your TV is running. We'd recommend reaching out to the Support team from Vizio to check if there are any updates that can be made, as like you said, this issue has been resolved for the most recent firmware update of the Vizio Tvs and soundbars from Spotify's side.

Note that some devices might be running older software even if the model was released quite recently. This hinders the performance of the app on those devices.

Another thing you can try is to connect all your devices to another network like a mobile hotspot from your phone, to check if the issue is related to your home WiFi.

Hope you find this info useful. Don't hesitate to reach out again if you have questions.
