Windows 10 Game bar (No longer resizable)

My Question or Issue:

A recent update either to Game bar or Spotify means I can no longer make the Spotify window as small as I could beforehand.

I like to pin the window on the Game bar so I can see which song is playing as I play a game without having to open game bar or have the huge notification appear when a new song starts playing.

As you can see from the 'ingame' screenshot the window is pinned but is around 2x the height as I had it before and possibly wider.

Is there any possibility of allowing the window to be resized again or introducing a new 'now playing' which just shows the song and is a small rectangle? For the time-being the widget is worse than useless as it takes up too much space.

Currently there is no way to resize the Widget from Spotify's side. You might consider contacting the Support team from Microsoft and ask whether this is expected behavior.

You can try to do a clean reinstall of the Spotify app, just in case and see if that makes a difference. You can find the device specific steps to a clean reinstall in this Spotify Answer.
