My Question or Issue

Hello, I am aware that spotify gives problems with VPN connections (which I think is stupid and that I do not understand)

I use Cyberghost and connect to Spanish servers, and when I use spotify it appears offline - Without connection.

I have tried to restart the app, uninstall it and reinstall it and change the VPN server, and there is no solution. I have seen in other forums that with other VPN providers that if you change something simple in the configuration if it solves the problem.

Someone who can help me and has experience with cyberghost.

Hey there @Edvaardito17,

Thank you for your post here in the Community.

Did you perform these steps when you reinstalled the app? This is different from a quick reinstall and could be helpful to get rid of any cached files that might be causing trouble.

Keep in mind that Spotify doesn't officially support VPN. Because of this there is the possibility that the app doesn't behave correctly, when used in combination with it.

You can submit an idea on our board though, that requests that VPN support is added. This page has all necessary steps. We'll post there the latest updates on the matter as soon as there are any.

If you'd like an official statement as to why this feature is not supported, we recommend that you reach out to out press team. You can to that here.

Hello dear Jeremy

I Uninstalled the app as part of the tutorial and it didn't have a solution, still doesn't work with VPN.

Could you give me some more solution? the truth is I am quite desperate, thank you very much!!

Thanks for keeping in touch.

As @Jeremy mentioned, we don't officially support VPNs, and it's expected that the app may misbehave when using one.

You can submit an idea requesting VPN support to our Ideas board with the steps in the link shared above.

In the meantime, we recommend disconnecting the VPN when using Spotify.

Hi, in my net, Spotify dont connect to the Premium Sources. So this ist**bleep**
