My Question or Issue

One of my friends that I follow on Spotify suddenly appears as "1299660894" and their profile picture is blank. What does this mean?

The explanation that Jeremy posted is the most likely one. Because this is due to actions on the side of the other account owner, this isn't something we can influence. If this starts happening with multiple other accounts at the same time as well, do let us know and we'll happily take a closer look.
