My Question or Issue

Hi! I would like to ask whether I could downgrade the Windows desktop app, or switch back to the previous UI somehow?

P.S.: Am I the only one who thinks it was perfect before? Now it is not just ugly, terrible, awful, showing lack of UI/UX skills by inconsistent element sizes and distances, but after every padding and element got bigger, it has become extremely bad to look, to find anything, to organize. More scrolling, more time to find songs. Who thought it would be a good idea to put the title and the artists to the same column? We cannot sort tracks by performers anymore! Please, tell me I can switch back to the older one, because I am already about cancelling my membership. This 1.1.58.820.g2ae50076-a UI can't be used at all!

Is there a solution for the downgrade? This is the only hope I have at the moment. I use Spotify quite a lot and intensively to search for new music, but with the update you miss the fun of it.

Check the thread "New desktop UI, how do I change it back to the old..." on this same forum, you can quite easily switch back to using the old UI (at least for now).

I've never heard so much complaining about the new UI even from my friends. Spotify do you even user test UI's before rolling these out? I hope there will be enough user feedback to get the old UI back or even an option for it in the settings!

For this reason, we invite you to share all your thoughts about it in this Community blog, which is constantly being monitored by the right folks in order to collect all your feedback so we can keep improving the app. You can also find more info about the new interface there.

@Visben, just to clarify, you can still sort your playlists by artist. You just need to click on the text Title on top of the column and you'll be able to switch between titles and artists sorted alphabetically, both A-Z or Z-A.
