[Desktop][Search] Search History

One of the nice features of both the desktop app as well as the mobile app, was the ability to see recent search history. Especially the extended search history that was visible on the desktop app. This was very useful for recalling the name of an artist or song that may have recently been discovered. Unfortunately, the search history feature was removed from the desktop app and only remains for the mobile app. It would be greatly appreciated if this small yet useful feature could be reinstated.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

You should be able to find a list of your Recent Searches when you click on Search from the left panel on the desktop app.

If this feature doesn't act as expected it's a good idea to clean reinstall Spotify on the device where this occurs. This step lets you start afresh with the latest app version by removing any corrupted files from previous installations.

If that doesn't fix things, could you share a screenshot of how the app gets displayed at your end? Also - does the Recent searches section appear when using the web player?

Still after all this time it's broken in web player. There is nothing else showing but "Browse all."
