Friend Activity not updating when friends inactive

Spotify Desktop 1.1.58.820

Clean reinstall completed

Host files clean

After this latest update, my Friend Activity is not updating as it should. I can see my friends and what they are listening to if they are active, but if they go offline or inactive the feed does not automatically update with the time since active (starting at 15 minutes going up to 60 minutes, then hourly after that). It simply stays on the last song listened to. The only way to see updated inactivity is to turn off/on Friend Activity via the three-dot View menu. I do NOT have to toggle off/on if my friends start actively listening again. The app DOES refresh when activity resumes.

Hi,

I believe this is an issue on Spotify's end as I have experienced this issue too and have followed the instructions that they suggested (clean re-install etc.) Hopefully they can fix it ASAP in their next update 😕
