Is this possible? I can login by using the code I can get by mail. But when attempting to reset or change the PW I should enter the current PW which I have forgotten...

Hey @kivk , great question and you're not alone in running into this!

The key thing to know is that there are two separate flows — one for changing your password (which requires your current password) and one for resetting a forgotten password (which doesn't). It sounds like you're landing on the wrong one!

Here's what to do:

First, make sure you're fully logged out of Spotify on the website. If you go to the reset page while still logged in, it redirects you to the account change page — which is why it's asking for your current password. Click your name at the top and choose Log Out, then head back to the reset page.

Once you're logged out:

Go to spotify.com/password-reset
Enter the email address or username linked to your account
Follow the instructions in the reset email Spotify sends you

No current password needed at all — just access to your email inbox. If you don't see the email, check your spam/junk folders or any filtered folders.

Since you mentioned you can already receive login codes by mail, you should be good to go. Hope that sorts it out! 🎧. Let me know if this helps as a solution!

I have unusual problem. So basicly i'm logged in on spotify on my Pc and i wanted to log in on my mobile app beacuse spotify glitched and i needed to redownload it. Unfortunately it logged me off and i don't really know to do i tried everything, i forgotten my password that was my only way to get into my account and my address email doesn't belong to me. I wanted to reset password and all but im not sure what to do im logged in on my PC but im scared if i will log off i will lose access completly, i just want to reset all of my personal informations as i saw this option once yet i dont see it no more. Also when i said i tried everything i also tried to connect my google account with it but spotify disalow me to do such acction. What to do in such situation?

Password reset link prompt does not work. Click the link. Enter your email. It says it sends a reset link to your email but it does not. And yes, 10x checked spam, junk, etc. The code emails all get sent. The reset password emails do NOT get sent
