...mean that Android development focus is now on building yet another new client and that the current high profile problems (SD card storage, Using too much data on 3G, Landscape mode) are going to take a back seat until this new client you are prototyping is complete?

This could have meant a tablet app but it specifically says "phone" so I guess not.
