Freezing, taking minutes to load, search function not workable due to slowness

Spotify has been essentially unusable for the last 4 months. I am considering cancelling my membership. I've seen the countless forum posts on the same issue. Spotify takes up to 5 minutes to load. The search function takes so long to load up that it is effectively useless. Even simple functions like pausing and skipping cause freezes and crashes. I do not have an extensive playlist. I have a few songs downloaded and have transferred the memory usage to an external Micro USB. This still did not remedy the problem. Can you please inform me of what Spotify is doing to remedy this situation. Or how this can be fixed?

Try reinstalling spotify following all the steps here. If you still have problems, please explain exactly what you mean by "transferred the memory usage to an external Micro USB" and provide the following details.

Device make and model
Android version
