I recently tried to copy some files for offline listening so I could listen in the car. I travel a lot and was looking forward to selecting songs to listen to on the plane, but alas, there is no such feature. My trial runs out on 1/23/13, but I think I've seen enough to go ahead and cancel now.

Is there a way to get an update when they'll enable that feature? I'd probably consider paying the money per month once they figure out how to use external storage.

Wow, this is really piss poor. Paying $10 a month. Bought a 64gb card for my new Galaxy Note 2 just to be able to "offline" a bunch of my Spotify playlists. Can't do it. I'm down to minimal space on my internal storage already. This has to be rectified. This is a business killer.

Well, I saw one of the responses in an earlier post that this is being worked on. Sure would be nice to know some kind of timetable. Not sure how long I want to spend $10 on something I can't even use. You gotta figure this has cost Spotify Mega dollars in lost premium subs. Pretty embarrassing really. Oh well, I will suffer for now cause I really love it. However, I will now research other options just in case.

You have to have the old spotify apk and install that one.

Then when you are at the loginscreen press the android menu button, there you have an option where to put your cache.

Then head over to google play and update to latest version, it will read the setting you made in the old app and put your cache on your ext_sd card.

It's quite an annoying workaround, but it works, and since the company doesn't seem to be listening to close to their customers it's the only thing that i know of that works as of today.

Tried it and it didn't work on my Galaxy note 2. It still put it on the phone's memory.

I too have the same issue. My spotify playlists are the biggest drain on both my note 2 and sgs3. Please spotify, lets have an idea of how far down the road map this is..
