Music automatically pauses with email notification

I have an issue with the most recent version of Spotify on my Note 8. When playing through my BT device, the music automatically pauses when any email notification comes through on my phone. I have tried uninstall/reinstall, but that did not fix the issue.

I see others are having the same issue.

Is there a fix?

Hi! So sorry to hear that you're having an issue with you music. The best solution would have to be either you putting your phone on vibrate mode, or turning the "Do Not Disturb" switch on. With my own personal experience with volumes and Spotify music, I've learned that if you have your volume all the way up BESIDES your media, then you might hear a notification and then your music stops entirely.
