Error- process.com.android.vending is not responding

Hello world,
If anyone out there can help me with this I would appreciate it.
I have had Spotify on this tablet since day one,had to reset device and now I can not reinstall spotify on this tablet.Tablet is older version,but has always worked.
I did uninstall and reinstall more than once,still nothing.I do have my account through my Face Book page,but will create a new account on my tablet if it means I get the music.
It will let me install Spotify through google play store,but it will not respond when trying to open it on tablet. It asks if I want to close,report or wait after it says installed successfully.The only thing that has ever come up as a reason was this : Error- process.com.android.vending is not responding.
Hope someone out there can help me,I need to have my Music everywhere I go,now I can no longer carry it with me from room to room (Wi-Fi) without the app. on my tablet.
This question is related to my old: Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1,the spotify app. is working fine on my PC through my Face Book account.

Spotify won't run on anthing older than Android OS 4.0.3. What version of android are you running?

Mine is a 4.0.4. Samsung Galaxy Tablet- Honeycomb (I think )
Have been using spotify on it forever.
