App crash using search function

At first it crashed when entering "j" in the search area (I was actually looking for Japanese music). Managed to fix this (partially) after clearing all data. Then it crashed when searching for "japan" and tapping any playlist.

Next I tried searching for "Bob Crewe", but after entering "bob" it crashed. Searching for "Crewe", it crashed after "cre".

As a new user I was quite happy with what Spotify has to offer, but with the search functionality crashing nearly everytime when I want to use it (I have a very specific taste in music and artists) I'm seriously doubting if stepping up to a premium account is wise.

Find the bug and eradicate it please.

To start, can you let us know what device model, operating system, and version of Spotify you're using?

I suggest you try a clean reinstall and see if it helps. This usually fixes most problems.

Note: This will remove any saved offline tracks and cache.
