When unlocking screen music stop.

So I have a Google pixel 2 xl and I'll be listening my music when I get a notification or anything. I hit my finger print scanner and the music stops. On my other pixel I don't have this problem. I checked the settings and I can't figure it out.

Welcome to the Spotify Community.

Could you let us know what operating system and Spotify version you're using?

Let's go to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Permissions > and make sure that all permissions are enabled.

Additionally, if you have a battery saving mode on your device, make sure you've added Spotify as an exception.

I'll try it. Nothing else has worked. It's my wife's phone so I'll try it later. I have no problems with mine. Thanks for the advice

Did you go to Settings > Apps > Spotify > Permissions on your wife's phone and check out the permissions?

Was Spotify added as an exception in battery saving mode on the device?
