Spotify Playlists not shuffling

I have Spotify basic (not premium). None of my playlists are shuffling. The song list is the exact same everytime. One of my major playlists has over 2,000 songs. The others have probably under 50.

I've been having the same problem since November. Spent several days emailing with Spotify support, who were really nice and tried to help, but they were unable to find a solution. A number of other Android users report the same issue. At least one moderator here says that the developers are aware of the problem. I hope it is fixed soon; it has made the Android app unusable for me.

same for me and I use mine for work and its really frustrating when I have to go elsewhere like IHeart or Pandora. My playlist was built by the people at work so they want to hear that list. IT plays flawless on the desktop but when in other areas I try to use the app and nope just repeats. Please fix soon Spotify

For the time being, I make weekly playlists. On my computer, I have it shuffle, then take the order and section them into temporary playlists. "Monday", Tuesday", "Wednesday", etc. I redo this every week. Very irritating.
