Oneplus 5 - wrong "offline" error. Cannot use home and search function

I am running the Spotify app on a Oneplus 5 with Android 8.0.0 (stable release, nothing modded). I have a premium family account and the other members of the subscription have no problem at all.

I cannot visualize the home (I get a generic error message, like "it didn't work , please try again"), nor I can select an artist if I search him: the artist shows in the research results, but if I select him I get the error message "You are offline, check your connection and try again". If I select a song in some other way, or if I search for an album, it works fine.

I followed this troubleshooting guide but the errors persist.
