A lot of people have the same issue and the reason is the gif loop some artists have on their songs. It uses up all your data and it don't matter if you download the song, as long as you use your mobile data it will use all of it. I hope Spotify will give us the option to disable this (very annoying) feature.

I've always listened to Spotify through mobile data and it never gave me a problem, but for some reason, in this month's cycle (started May 3rd), Spotify burned around 5gb of data, in these two days. I don't think that's normal. What should I do?

I noticed this today as well. Apparently since starting the app today it burned through 4gb of data... And now I'm out of internet until the end of the month .

Just a follow up, I've checked my service provider and this data isn't displaying there, so whatever it is, it must be a glitch between Spotify and my cellphone only.

It is very odd.
