Last.fm Scrobbling doesn't work without internet connection

I'm trying to figure out if my scrobbles will queue up when I'm without an internet connection like they do with the desktop app. I can't tell if this is the case or not, and the times i've tried testing it out it doesnt seem it this. This is a key issue for me, as I need to have all my plays scrobble

I don't believe that this is possible, sorry.

It would be a simple development, as the last.fm scrobbler can queue plays until a connecton is a available again and Spotify's desktop app itself is similar as well.
