I have tried everything I could find on the forum, but could not get my local files to sync from my computer to my phone.

My gear is:

Google Pixel (original, American Version, not the 2)

Mac book Pro 2017

Spotify Premium Student

I have tried the following:

The listed instructions on the Spotify website (i.e. make a playlist, make sure you're connected to the same wifi, click download on both devices)

Logging in and logging back out on both desktop and mobile

Reinstalling on both desktop and mobile

making sure apps on both devices are up to date

putting the songs in different playlists

connecting both devices to a different wifi network

Checking my firewall (there was no firewall active so that was never an issue)

I am getting quite frustrated to pay for a service that cannot do this when services like Apple Music and even Google Music do this so readily. Spotify is quite likely about to lose a customer if this issue cannot be fixed. I would appreciate any suggestions that are different than the ones listed above that I have already tried.
