Plan

Premium

Country

Turkey

Device

Asus Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL / 3 GB / 32 GB)

Operating System

Android Oreo

My Question or Issue

Two days ago Spotify started to freeze on startup and I could fix the problem by clearing the app cache. Yesterday, the same problem occurred again and the previous solution did not work so I had to clear the app data, which is a total waste of 10 gb. Today I made all my playlists offline again and went outside and while listening to music, Spotify crashed and did not open. So, at last, to overcome the issue, I tried to rename user data folder that is "/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/com.spotify.music" to something like "com.spotify.musicc" and launched Spotify (after forcing it stop) and it did work. So renamed the folder back to "com.spotify.music" and did force to stop and launched Spotify and I was able to make offline all the old playlists and without any data usage.

Btw I have sent the bug reports.
