The problem is that the song on my phone is a now a live version of the song that is avaible on spotify is there any way to stop this happening and for me to make sure the local file syncs

Hey! Welcome to the community 🙂

I don't have much experience syncing local files since its not supported on my BlackBerry, but I would suggest you go to the playlist on the desktop client, find the local file and select "Unlink Track" and then sync it again to see if that helps.
