My Question or Issue

I have been receiving this error message every time I open Spotify, asking me to update my Operating System above 4.0 but I am currently on the newest Operating System. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the app but it still appears.

Can you make sure you followed the exact steps listed here? Make sure to clean your devices cache before installing the app again.

If that doesn't help, send over a screenshot showing your current Android OS.

We'll see what we can suggest.

I still have the issue and used the method provided. The image is the model
of the phone and the operating system version.

Hey @Sandy180.

It's odd that you're getting this banner since you're using a Pixel 2 XL. Are you able to try using a different Spotify account on the same device? You can test this regardless if the account is Premium or Free.

You can also try using a different Android device (if possible) to see if you get the same banner on your account.
