Same problem! Restart/force quit doesn't fix it.

Have you tried reinstalling your app? If not here's a step by step tutorial.

But keep in mind that you'll need to download your synced songs again.

Uninstalled and reinstalled app, still same issue.

It only happens when I connect to bluetooth. Why isn't there a setting to turn that off?

Confirmed! I turned off by Bluetooth and album art returned. Turned Bluetooth back on and still have album art.

It comes back when I turn it off, then goes away again when Bluetooth connects again.

Ok, so when I'm connected to my Ford SYNC via Bluetooth is when it happens, don't have the issue when I connect Bluetooth Headphones or my Samsung Gear S3 Frontier. Strange, because I don't think Ford has sent any updates to SYNC. Thought it may have also been due to WAZE, but uninstalled WAZE and still had the issue when connected to Ford SYNC.

Oh yeah, I also deleted phone from Ford SYNC, re-synched phone and issue still remains. Spotify still works fine over BT in my car, I'd just prefer to see album art instead of an interface for the visually impaired.
