Spotify connect keeps randomly connecting

My Question or Issue

I own a Wi-Fi speaker which i use spotify connect to play music through, however for some reason it keeps randomly connecting to it when i am out of the house/nowhere near it. I've had this problem for ages and don't know how to fix it. It seems to happen when I connect to an internet connection, and doesn't play music through the speaker, it only says it does and then stops my song until I 'disconnect'. It's very annoying!

Just to confirm, what speaker is this happening to? Also, do you have other devices at home that are connected to your Spotify account as well as the WiFi?

Just to confirm, do you have other devices logged in to your spotify account at home (e.g. tablet, PC, or other smart devices)?

In the meantime, try reinstalling Spotify on your device to see if it helps.
