Hey @gbe, welcome to the Community!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with this. We'll do our best to help out.

Did this start happening after an app or OS update? Does it help if you change the quality of the tracks you download?

Also, if you haven't already given it a go, try a quick reinstall to see if it helps.

Let us know how it goes.

Plan

Premium

Country

Philippines

Device

Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge

Operating System

Android 8.0 (Oreo)

My Question or Issue

Everytime I download a song on my phone the app sudenly becomes unstable. Playlists wont start to load (the green buffer just keeps showing), my phone start to lag, songs being played while downloading wont buffer, and once you access other application features spotify would stop responding and I have to manually close it in the app manager. This has been happening for over a time now (at least three months to be exact) and I found that its just easier to let those songs download first and put spotify in offline mode but sometimes it just becomes iconvenient. (i.e. when trying to search new songs and download them, streaming music online, etc.) Has anyone else encountered this issue? Is it a software problem or hardware problem? My friend encountered this and he stopped premium because of it.
