It seems every since the latest update to the android version of spotify my battery on my phone is draining really fast. i Got rid of other apps i thought could be the problem but im sure its spotify. It is using the most battery when i look at useage.

Could you send us a screenshot of the Spotify battery usage? Also, have you tried to reinstall the app to see if it continues behaving this way?

v30 LG phone as well.

Battery drain 38% today by spotify and I didn't even use spotify today.

38% used by spotify.

That is more than anything else that was running on the phone.
