My Question or Issue

I have a collection of rare/old tracks that are not available on Spotify or any other streaming service.

I'd like to incorporate them into Spotify Playlists that contain Spotify provided content.

Can this be done and if so, how?

Here's the problem with those instructions...

"Log in on your mobile or tablet using the same WiFi network as your desktop app."

My desktop is on a ethernet connection and the phone cannot see it.

Yeah, poor choice of words. Both devices must be connected to the same network - ie the same modem or router. Any problems are usually firewall related.
