App does not work correctly on Samsung S8

My app does not change display with the changing song, it displays the play icon even when the track is playing or will continue to display the pause icon when it shouldn't. It doesn't properly sync with the bluetooth in my car anymore because it does not advance the track display but advances the track itself. It does not show the time elapsing and it sporadically puts a notification in my status bar, other times it does not. It randomly quits the app in the middle of songs and I have to reopen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice with no relief.

Apple Music is looking pretty good right about now. If I don't get some help very soon, I'm going to Apple.
