My Question or Issue

So I had to uninstall Spotify as several songs just kept freezing that were donwloaded. I reinstalled and now everytime I open Spotify it launches Chrome on my phone so I can't even get into the app to see what may be causing this, but the re-direct takes me to privacy page asking me to change my privacy settings.

How can I get around this?

That's weird! When launching Spotify it should launch Spotify, not a different app. Could you please try the following steps for a more thorough reinstallation:

From the Android home screen, tap Settings > Apps
Find Spotify in your list of apps, tap it and clear the cache and data. Then select Uninstall.
Switch the device off, and remove the battery (if possible)
Wait 2 minutes, and put the battery back in. Switch the phone back on
Open the Google Play Store then search for and install the Spotify Music app
