Plan

Premium

Country

USA

Device

Pixel 2 XL

Operating System

Android Pie (version 9)

My Question or Issue

I need to stop Spotify using cellular data for streaming. I can do that for downloads at the background but there is no option for streaming. Developers expect me to go into offline mode whenever I get out of wifi coverage, but that is not practical. Many times I lose wifi witout noticing, and spotify starts using cellular data for streaming. This costs me money.

Also please note that Spotify's rival Google Play Music has this option to "Stream only on Wi-Fi". Can Spotify please add the same option to their Android app?
