I just started a new Spotify account. How do you get to the artist section in which you select artists from a wide selection and then once you've selected someone a load more artists drop down? I can't seem to enable this

Hello there!

You can only see that option when you create a new account. You can however still follow or unfollow certain artists. You can see who you follow by visiting your own profile via the Spotify app. There you can unfollow any artists you would like to. If you want to follow new artists, you have to visit an individual Artist profile to follow the artist.
