Weird audio bug

So sometimes at home I'll play Spotify through my phone speakers, but when I open WhatsApp or Telegram while playing Spotify, the audio goes weird and distorted. This issue is fixed for a few seconds by readjusting the volume but goes back to the weird distorted audio. What can I do to fix this?

Try to disable the equalizer. I had this bug too

Hey @Saltysalads,

Just jumping in here to add some extra info to what @_itsamemari suggested.

Make sure that any battery optimization software running on your phone is disabled. Follow these steps:

1. Mobile Settings> Apps> Spotify> Permissions. Allow everything you see there.
2. Mobile settings> Apps> Spotify> Battery> Optimize battery usage> select top All (not optimized for apps)> Spotify> disable.

If the issue persists, you should perform a clean reinstall Spotify and all apps that seem to have an affect on the sound quality. You can find the steps for Spotify here.

If that doesn't fix things, let us know if the problem comes up while using the web player.
