Spotify Starts Playing Randomly on Android Phone

My Question or Issue

Starting today, my phone would randomly start playing songs on Spotify while the phone was locked and without me opening Spotify myself. It is getting annoying because I see this as a potential source of draining my phone's battery, and also makes me unsure about the security of the mobile client for Spotify. I checked if my app is up-to-date, and it is. I would appreciate feedback. Thanks.

This happened to me once, but what happens a lot is I see a Spotify notification logo randomly. Then I pull down my notification shade to see what's going on and then it doesn't say it's playing anything, it's just kind of blank. Then it'll disappear after a minute or so.

I suspect for me it has something to do with my Sonos One, though which I often play Spotify. When the above happens I'm not doing anything related to Sonos or Alexa, but it only starter happening.after I got that Sonos.
