The Metadata from Spotify will show the correct information for the first song and consistently refuse to update afterwards until the phone has either been a) disconnected and reconnected via bluetooth or b) the car is restarted.

Has there been any definitive answer on resolving this? From what research I've done, it seems to affect all Subaru models using their stock StarLink unit in as recent as '19.

I have the exact same problem with my LG V20 and my new 2019 Camry.

Only Spotify has an issue with displaying the metadata; Amazon Music, Google Music, and my own music played through Rocket Player all work just fine. I've found dozens of forum posts on this affecting all makes and models, so this is an ongoing problem with Spotify that they refuse to fix.

Seriously Spotify, even Amazon's streaming music service can get this right and it's a garbage app.

I have been in touch with Subaru. They performed a software update to my entertainment system in my 2015 Impreza since it’s having the same issue with tracks not displaying as I advance them in my car. Subaru pointed to Spotify that the issue is the Spotify app. Not my car or my iPhone 8+. Fingers are being pointed back and forth. I just want a solution. HELP !,
