Spotify doesn't recognize microSD

I have read all the forums and blog posts on how to trick Spotify to recignize micro SD for offline storage.

They tell to delete, clear catche, fill up the main drive, reinstall; move the database to the external drive.

There is nothing I havn't tried. It has been many weeks now since I started to struggle with this thing.

None of methods suggested in the forums are working. Even I fill up 99% of the main drive with files, Spotify still tries to download to the main drive.

(I disabled it, cleared the files, cleared the catches, made sure that no spotify leftover remains in the drive).

Very frustrating.
